About BOLT Fabrics:
BOLT fabrics are printed on a custom 95% combed cotton and 5% spandex fabric knitted in Los Angeles, California, making it a 100% Made in the USA knit fabric. The exclusive Girl Charlee designs are pigment printed for lasting color saturation and durability, and special finishing processes are utilized to ensure the finished fabric is extremely soft. The BOLT cotton spandex has less than 5% shrinkage due to a laundering process that is performed prior to printing. The width of BOLT fabrics is generally between 59-60″, with the cuttable (printed) width at 56-58″ depending on the design. We recommend washing BOLT fabrics on cold, then hang dry and fluff on low heat or tumble drying on low heat, to preserve the life of the fabrics.

Riley Blake Fabrics ::: Product Feature

A while back we brought in some great fabrics from Riley Blake Designs. Both their knits and woven cottons are absolutely beautiful to look upon and sew with! I thought I would give you a peek at what I’ve sewn with a few, since I never posted them in the New Arrivals section. whoops! Hop over to the shop and check them out, HERE.

I think the Wheels Collection is so fun! I just had to cut into that right away. I used the Canvas Road Panel to make a great play mat. It’s the perfect size for a travel mat too at a finished size of 36″ x 36″, I used black fleece fabric that I had kicking around for the backing. Which I later realized would collect every fuzzy from miles around. Perhaps a cotton flannel would be better as backing, or even waterproof PUL fabric if you wanted to use this outside on the go. At the bottom of the panel there is a great row of cars that I used with the other car fabrics in the collection to make a draw string bag. Perfect to carry the mat and some matchbox cars!

All the fabrics…
